DMA Cards: Requirements and Hardware Choices

What is a DMA card? Compare hardware requirements, a second PC, firmware and optional devices. Check compatibility and the full setup cost before buying.

Contents

A DMA card is hardware, not a complete software subscription. Before buying, check the card, firmware, computers and the requirements of the particular product you intend to use. The DMA label alone does not confirm game compatibility or freedom from account bans.

This guide helps you build a requirements list and a full budget. See the EFT DMA comparison for specific Tarkov products, or browse the published offers in the DMA catalog.

What is a DMA card?

DMA means Direct Memory Access. DMA-capable devices can access system memory without the CPU handling each transfer. This hardware capability does not mean that any card will work with any software.

Some IVSOFTE DMA products describe a card in the gaming PC and software running on a second computer. For example, Clutch EFT Radar explicitly requires a DMA card, firmware and a second PC. Do not apply those requirements to every other offer without checking its own documentation.

DMA card video

The video is supplementary material. If it differs from a product’s current requirements, clarify the discrepancy with that product’s support before buying.

What belongs in the setup?

  • DMA card. Check the exact model and revision against the software’s supported-card list.
  • Firmware. Confirm the compatible version, update arrangements and whether it is included with the hardware or sold separately.
  • Second computer. Check whether it is required and what minimum specifications the product lists. Do not assume any old laptop will be sufficient.
  • Cables and interfaces. Match the card’s connectors, available ports and the items actually included in the package.
  • Software license. Buying a card does not establish that a radar or other software license is included.

Choosing a card: 35T, 75T or 100T

A chip label is not a compatibility list. Do not choose solely by an advertised transfer rate, a safety claim or the size of the model number. Choose the software first, then confirm the supported card model, revision and firmware.

Record the exact card name, interfaces, supported firmware, package contents and support terms for each offer. Resolve conflicting advice from the hardware seller and software developer before paying. This guide does not rank chips by detection risk or promise universal speed figures.

Do you need KmBox, Makcu or a Fuser?

Do not automatically add every peripheral to your order. Input and display devices serve different purposes. A product mentioning Aimbot or ESP does not by itself describe how that function is implemented or what extra device it needs.

Check where information is displayed: in a browser, on a second screen or over the game image. Ask whether a separate input device is required and which model is supported. These peripherals are not automatically required for every DMA product or compatible with every setup.

What does the whole setup cost?

Budget for the complete setup rather than just the card. List hardware, a second computer if needed, firmware, the software license and any additional devices separately. Mark which items you already own and which you must purchase.

Prices, license terms and package contents change. There is no fixed minimum budget or universal firmware price in this guide. Check the software’s current product page and the hardware seller’s actual offer, including currency and exactly what is included.

Use the DMA hardware buying guide to prepare your questions. The Bazelio hardware catalog is a separate external catalog: verify stock, contents and price in the specific offer.

Windows and system protection

Do not treat “works on any system” as a technical requirement. Check the Windows version and build, CPU, interfaces, game mode and requirements for both computers against the chosen product’s documentation.

Windows includes protection against unauthorized DMA access to memory. Microsoft explains IOMMU’s role in its Kernel DMA Protection documentation. System protection is not a compatibility rating for game software. Do not disable protective features based on a general article; clarify disputed requirements with the developer and consider their implications first.

DMA does not guarantee freedom from bans

Running part of a setup on a second PC does not establish that it cannot be detected. Read-only operation, a different card, firmware or a higher hardware price is not a universal guarantee. Third-party software may violate game rules and lead to an account ban.

Individual product status can change after updates. A “Checking” status is not confirmation that a product works. Old videos and reviews do not replace current information. Check the exact product rather than relying on a category-wide DMA claim.

Before-you-buy checklist

  1. Choose the game and a specific product rather than an unspecified DMA bundle.
  2. Save its hardware list and system requirements.
  3. Confirm the exact card, revision, firmware and need for a second PC.
  4. Ask about additional devices and dependent licenses.
  5. Compare complete costs and package contents.
  6. Check current status, instructions and the support channel.

Frequently asked questions

Is a DMA card the same as a DMA cheat?

No. The card is hardware; software and its license are separate offers. Verify what your purchase includes.

Are two computers always required?

Follow the specific product’s requirements. Clutch EFT Radar explicitly lists a second PC; this does not establish that every hardware arrangement is identical.

Can I choose just by the 35T/75T/100T chip label?

No. Check the exact model, revision and firmware against the selected software’s compatibility list.

Will one setup work with every game?

Support depends on the product and version. Confirmation for one game does not establish support for another.

Where can I compare EFT offers?

Open the Clutch Radar and ClutchBox comparison for the distinction between the radar, add-on and license dependency.
